Tough-Finesse Fishing

The Giant Killing Rod !

The Botia 60S+ is a multi-piece rod capable of transforming from 6.0 feet to 7.5 feet. By combining high-modulus carbon blanks, it delivers astonishing casting distance alongside torque and restorative power that transcend conventional power ratings.

Following its revision in Rev1.0—which overhauled the joint structure, updated the grip design, and shifted the bend curve closer to a smooth regular taper—the Botia was reborn as a brand-new rod.

Key Technical Characteristics & Action

  • Refined Taper & Power Balance: The tip section matches a medium-light (ML) bass rod, while the butt section boasts medium (M) class strength.

  • Lure Versatility: This balance allows for effortless casting and sharp handling of light lures—from jig heads and light jigs to 10g minnows and 15g vibration baits.

  • Hard Solid Carbon Tip: Equipped with a hard solid carbon tip, it delivers a level of delicate sensitivity that completely defies the traditional limitations of a multi-piece pack rod.

  • Trophy Handling Capability: While primarily designed for fish in the 15 to 50 cm range, its extraordinary reserve power allows you to successfully land unexpected, oversized trophies when they strike.

Field Applications & Target Species

Thanks to its adjustable length and robust blank architecture, the Botia 60S+ adapts seamlessly to an immense range of styles depending on how the angler wields it:

  • Freshwater: Black bass fishing in ponds and rivers.

  • Saltwater: Urban and coastal sea bass, plus general light saltwater games in regions like Okinawa.

  • International Expedition: Overseas light plugging adventures.

It stands ready as a reliable, powerful ally wherever your journey takes you.

COMPASS OF YOUR DREAM

Basic combination

The initial set of the Botia 60S+ consists of two core length configurations: 6.0 feet and 7.5 feet. One of the greatest appeals of the Botia 60S+ is that, from a single modular set, you can seamlessly select the optimal rod length to match the specific demands of your destination field.

When the length changes, the blank reveals a completely different character. From light casting games aboard boats to shore-based light casting, it stands as a "giant-killing" versatile model capable of handling unexpected trophy fish across both domestic waters and international expeditions.

The Botia stands as TRANSCENDENCE's premier proposal for a light-game versatile rod.

The 6.0-foot version shines in tight spaces and restricted environments, such as pinpoint casting in narrow pockets, shore-bound fishing from low-footprint platforms, and boat-based games.

  • Exceptional Lure Control: It enables delicate, precise operation across a wide spectrum of techniques—from swimming jig-head rigs and shaking bass worms to retrieving small plug lures.

  • Unbelievable Multi-Piece Feel: The sheer lightness and seamless usability completely shattered the expectations of the entire TRANSCENDENCE staff, defying what is traditionally thought possible for a multi-piece pack rod.

Achieving such a delicate tip in a multi-piece architecture was made possible through the adoption of a hard solid carbon tip.

  • Cushioning & Hookups: This material features a surprising degree of crisp tension while maintaining high strength, acting as a natural cushion that prevents fast-moving fish from rejecting the bait during steady retrieves.

  • Giant-Killing Butt Power: Behind the delicate, sensitive tip lies an unexpected powerhouse of a butt section. Though classified as a light-game rod, it packs enough lifting muscle to comfortably subdue large trophies—such as 50+ cm black bass or 70+ cm sea bass—even when hooked from a boat.

Botia75S

The BT75 excels in situations requiring long casts or in light game fishing from high platforms.

It is suitable for a wide range of situations, including plugging for rockfish in the open ocean, sea bass fishing with soft baits and lightweight plugs, bass fishing from the shore, and medium-sized trout.

The increased length of about 1 foot dramatically improves casting distance and lure handling on elevated platforms, making it feel like a completely different rod. While retaining the same delicate tip as the BT60S, the extended, stronger blank section significantly increases the rod's power.

Blanks

The Botia60S+ features a special taper design with different power levels in the tip, belly, and butt. This rod is suitable not only for light game fishing targeting lighter fish with light lures, but also for handling big fish that go beyond the realm of light game fishing.

Experienced anglers will understand that delicately manipulating light lures can sometimes be the quickest way to encounter big fish. The BT60S+ features a balancer weight that can be freely adjusted. When operating with the rod held upright, you can add enough weight to create a front-weighted balance, and when operating with the rod held lower, you can remove the weight to create a forward-weighted balance, allowing you to enjoy a more delicate and comfortable game.

The Transcendence staff have been using the incredible butt power of the rod, which is unimaginable from the tip, to catch big fish that you wouldn't expect to find with a light game rod, such as 70cm trevally, 95cm+ sea bass, 80cm+ silver arowana, and even 1m class king salmon.

You'll understand why once you hold the Botia60S+ and keep casting; it offers a reassuring sense of blank power within its ease of use. When the Batuta67/80 feels insufficient, the Botia60S+ is undoubtedly the only choice.

Its high sensitivity is also a key feature, making it ideal for light rockfish games targeting species like red grouper, scorpionfish, and black rockfish using 3.5-10g light Texas rigs. Whether you're reeling or casting, the Botia is a versatile light game rod you'll want to take anywhere.

Kayak & Boat

The Botia60S+ truly shines in kayak and boat fishing. Its adjustable length allows it to handle everything from light jigging to casting in kayak fishing, and it can also be used as a spinning reel for bait fishing. For light casting, it has enough power to handle jigs up to 40g.

For light casting from boats both domestically and internationally, I think the Botia60S+ is overwhelmingly the easiest to use. Its accuracy for precisely casting to your target point and its butt power to handle the power of any target make it a rod you won't want to let go of once you've tried it.

Power & Action

The action can be described as a medium taper with a slight emphasis on fast action. In terms of power, the tip is ML, the belly is M, and the butt is H.

Because it's even stiffer than a regular taper rod, it has a crisp, responsive feel. It possesses the butt power to follow unexpected large fish in the ocean or overseas, allowing you to fight them without giving them the initiative, while the tip is delicate, ensuring you don't miss any bites from your target.

The Botia60S+ can handle a wide range of lures, from small spinners to plugs and lightweight jigs, making it the perfect rod not only for fishing trips and travel, but also to keep in your car.
