Through his relentless, daily commitment on the water, the imperative need arose for a specialized, heavy-powered casting rod purpose-built for bank fishing—and development began.

It also excels with swim jigs (scorn rigs)—a deadly presentation from the depths of winter into early spring. While the Pulchra 62B specializes in mid-strolling and mid-water retrieves, the Estremo 76 is optimized for swimming jigs while maintaining deliberate bottom contact.
It is especially well-suited for bottom-dragging tactics using the "Igi-Scone" setup (a swim jig paired with a 5-inch Iguita trailer), allowing anglers to aggressively tap into bottom structure without the constant fear of snagging.

The Estremo 76 delivers exceptional versatility that extends far beyond black bass fishing, excelling particularly in heavy seabass, Japanese lates (Akame), and boat rockfish applications. It casts 2 to 4 oz lures with remarkable ease and pinpoint precision. This refined controllability unleashes the blank's full potential in fast-growing big bait seabass games and tight-quarters Akame battles around heavy structure.
Furthermore, its taper and power curve are ideally suited for boat rockfish tactics—including swimming jigheads and bottom-bumping Texas rigs. Because the blank was originally forged around high-resolution bass bottom techniques, its tactile sensitivity and lifting power are in a class of their own.
While the guide system was primarily optimized for heavy fluorocarbon lines, it maintains flawless line clearance and a crisp, nimble feel even when running setups up to PE #4 braid paired with a 50 lb shock leader.
