The rod beyond your imagination

Rods that hold their own in the world's offshore fishing

The Xaloc 83S is a heavy offshore casting rod purpose-built to go toe-to-toe with apex pelagic predators—including trophy kingfish (hiramasa), giant trevally (GT), and massive yellowfin tuna.

Proving its pedigree across punishing proving grounds, the Xaloc 83S underwent relentless field testing in the Tokyo Bay entrance, Goto Islands, Genkai Sea, Tokara Islands, and the rugged coasts of Chile. Engineered not merely to survive accidental monster hookups, but to strategically hunt and conquer trophy game, we refined countless prototypes to extract maximum performance from the blank. The result is an offshore weapon that delivers overwhelming ease of use in its class across every key metric: explosive casting distance, precision lure control, ultra-light blank weight, flawless physical balance, and extreme fracture strength.

It packs unyielding butt power to absorb and shut down the violent, line-peeling runs of massive kingfish, GT, and yellowfin tuna. The Xaloc 83S represents the next stage of offshore big game angling.

COMPASS OF YOUR DREAM

Basic combination

The Xaloc 83S is a 4-piece heavy offshore casting rod purpose-built to target trophy kingfish (hiramasa), yellowfin tuna, and giant trevally (GT).

A glance at its bending curve reveals a blank engineered to track dynamically under load while preserving an unyielding, powerful butt section. Multi-piece rods inherently demand far more intricate, section-by-section blank tuning than standard one-piece blanks. By turning that structural challenge into an engineering advantage, we applied microscopic carbon-layering adjustments impossible to achieve in a single-piece design—delivering a level of comfort, balance, and fighting efficiency that ordinary one-piece rods simply cannot match.

The Xaloc 83S demonstrates its true pedigree across the two most critical moments of offshore casting: the cast and the fight.

The moment a load is applied, the blank flexes in progressive harmony. On the cast, this loading energy translates directly into explosive flight distance; during the fight, that same rebound energy transforms into relentless restorative lifting force—generating natural lifting torque to float heavy pelagics simply by locking your posture and holding the rod.

Alongside massive casting distance and elastic lifting power, the rod features a responsive tip section that never dampens lure action. It integrates a seamless 4-stage combat matrix:

  • Search (Long-Distance Castability): Explores vast open water with effortless range.

  • Seduce (Compliant Action Tip): Imparts natural, error-free lure movement without pulling the plug out of the water.

  • Hook (Tuned #2–#3 Mid-Section): Drives heavy-gauge treble and single hooks deep into bony jaws.

  • Land (Dynamic Blank Balance): Absorbs brutal runs while lifting trophy fish automatically.

This multi-layered performance is made possible precisely because of our advanced multi-piece blank engineering. Pick it up, load it, and experience firsthand what makes anglers exclaim: "I can't believe this is a pack rod!"

Blanks & Guide

While packing the sheer stopping power required to confront true oceanic monsters, the blank is engineered with an exquisite weight distribution tuned for relentless, all-day casting. When it comes to enduring marathon sessions, overall rod balance matters far more than dead weight on a scale.

Once this balance was perfected, the progressive loading dynamics that generate massive casting distance naturally shifted into relentless restorative lifting power—allowing the blank's elasticity to pump and float trophy fish simply by bracing the rod. Through grueling battle-testing focused specifically on the section bearing the apex of the bending curve, we dialed in a seamless taper that distributes maximum fighting pressure across the entire rod blank rather than overloading a single point.

This achieves a level of weightless balance physically impossible in standard 1.5-piece rods. As a result, it delivers the massive casting distance and unyielding butt power needed to conquer shore-based casting games for trophy kingfish (hiramasa), GT, and yellowfin tuna. The blank loads with a smooth, compliant bend that fully transmits the lure's momentum into the blank on every stroke.

By unlocking the blank's full potential and outfitting it with Fuji RV guides, the Xaloc 83S delivers an unmatched tier of long-distance casting performance.

Lure

The Xaloc 83S hits its absolute sweet spot with 70 g to ~100 g diving pencils, while effortlessly handling an expansive payload spectrum—from ~130 g poppers down to 180 g heavy sinking pencils.

This extraordinary versatility comes down to our dedicated tip section engineering. By combining tenacious blank elasticity with fluid water-pressure tracking, the tip works delicate 70 g stickbaits without dulling their action, while providing the crisp rebound necessary to rhythmically sweep heavy 150 g-class plugs without tearing them out of the water.
